Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals
The REACH regulation, EU Regulation No. 1907/2006, came into force as the EU chemicals regulation on June 1st 2007 in order to standardize and simplify previous chemicals regulations. As an EU regulation, REACH applies in all European Union countries. In the area to which REACH applies, and adopting the principle that the industry is directly responsible for itself, chemical substances may only be circulated if they have been registered and, therefore, each substance has its own registration number.
„One of the major elements of the REACH regulation is the requirement to communicate information on chemicals up and down the supply chain. This ensures that manufacturers, importers, and also their customers are aware of information relating to health and safety of the products supplied.“ (Quelle: Wikipedia)
This means that with the REACH regulation the manufacturers of the respective ink cartridges, printer cartridges and toners are obliged to register their products with the competent authority, to publish safety data sheets if necessary, to provide information in this regard on the manufacturer's website and to refer to these ingredients.
Being a wholesaler, the Winterholt & Hering GmbH is unable
to determine which relevant REACH substances the products sold by all
the different manufacturers contain.
As a reliable partner for original ink and toner cartridges however, we provide you with relevant information regarding the European REACH regulation and regarding the OEM manufacturer’s statements as stated below.
The official website for all REACH topics provides you with detailed information on this.
